The Codetalk Venice Festival was created to welcome and create unity between Venice’s long existing art community and the new growing tech community. Venice has long been a hub for the arts where murals and performers fill the streets. As the tech field moves in, we want to continue to nurture this spirit and add to it rather than take from it. With that in mind, the Codetalk Venice Festival was born.
As a planned yearly event, the goal is to bring street artists and performers together with AR and VR specialists. More traditional artists will be paired up with technical specialists to create new art outside of either of their traditional bounds to display it for you here, at the Codetalk Venice Festival.
Please recognize that, although sounding like a fantastic idea, this a project built for/by the students of the Codetalk program at the St. Joseph Center which is a nonprofit technology program for women looking to change their trajectory.
